Looking for some snow stress relief? How about getting creative with the white stuff.

Dr. Lise Van Susteren, a D.C. based psychiatrist, says when life gives you snow (or in this case, a lot of snow), make snow ice cream! It's easy.

Non-fat Chocolate Snow Ice Cream:
Preparation time: 45 minutes of cabin fever

Ingredients:

1 gallon snow (Lise recommends you taste it first)

½ cup of sugar (recipe calls for ¾ cup, but try ½ to start and add more if needed)

1 cup cream (Lise used non-fat half and half)

½ teaspoon vanilla

Unsweetened cocoa to taste (offsets any metallic taste)

Start with the snow and mix it all together. Add unsweetened cocoa to taste, and more sugar if needed. You may also add in other items like coconut, chocolate chips… or whatever you like.
