Marietta police arrest Khubaib Hussain, Sampson Beye and Arif Muhammad felony gambling raid

COBB COUNTY, GA - Police say they have arrested several men in connection with an alleged organized crime involving money laundering and gambling in Cobb County.

According to the arrest warrant, Khubaib Hussain, Sampson Beye and Arif Muhammad were arrested and charged with felony commercial gambling following a two-year investigation.

Marietta police said they have been watching Gantts Food on Franklin Gateway and another convenience store on Windy Hill Road owned by the same man, Khubaib Hussain.

Detectives said the slot machines in both convenience stores were paying out cash, and that’s not legal in Georgia.

Police obtained search warrants for the two stores and the owner’s home in Douglas County, where the following was sized by authorities:

    $250,000 in cash
    Tote full of gold jewelry
    Eight computers
    Cell phone
    Five high end vehicles

Luxury vehicles, $250k in cash & box of jewels all seized in organized crime raids centering on commercial gambling

Detectives said multiple agencies including the Cobb County Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Revenue were involved in the investigation. Authorities said they are also looking into possible money laundering and tax evasion.
