COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Cobb County police arrested a Marietta mom accused of beating her son for not cleaning.
Authorities arrested Lisa Michelle Assing, 35, after they were contacted by school administrators and Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS) about a possible abuse.
According to school administrators, Assing's son showed up to school with three bruises under his right eye and on his right cheek. When asked by his teacher what had happened, he told his teacher his mom beat him up for not cleaning out his closet after telling him to do so..
According to an arrest warrant, the child told authorities his mother slapped him with her hand several times, which caused visible injuries to his face.
Assing was arrested on a simple battery harm charge.
