Calhoun, Ga.- Gordon County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a woman after a video was posted online of her striking a dog with a frying pan.
According to the arrest warrant, Alyssa Renae Duvall, 19, of Calhoun is facing misdemeanor Animal Cruelty charges in Gordon County.
A sheriff's deputy responded to an animal cruelty report on March 11th. According to police, the witness told the deputy that Duval hit the dog with a frying pan after it urinated on the floor and bit Duval. The deputy observed the dog and found no visible injuries.
Authorities have obtained a video recording of the incident, which is going viral online, and took photos of the dog as evidence in the case.
Duvall was later released on $1,000 bond.
