ATLANTA, Ga. - Gas prices are on the rise around Metro Atlanta, and analysts say the conflict in the Middle East is to blame. Drivers are paying more at the pump at many gas stations across our area.

The price of crude oil rose 18 cents on Friday to $97.46 a barrell. The rebellion in Libya has all but shut down exports from oil-rich nations.

Here in Atlanta, the average price of gas per gallon is almost $3.20, according to AAA.  That's up about 12 cents in just the last week.
