GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Police say a man has been arrested after a Gwinnett County mother and her 2 year-old child were strangled during a domestic incident on Easter Sunday.
According to police, the incident happened late sunday night at a home on the 2700 block of Tybee Drive in Buford. The homeowner called police saying his son, identified as 32-year-old Brandon Williams, had choked a 2-year-old boy and his mother in a room they rent at the home, then walked up the street to a gas station. Police found Williams at a RaceTrac gas station where he was arrested.
Paramedics rushed both victims to Gwinnett Medical Center where they both died.
The woman has been identified by the homeowner as 30 year-old Natalie Nation. Her 2 year-old son was identified as Cole Nation.
Detectives have no motive for the crime. They also say the suspect and the victims were not related and it doesn't appear to be any romantic involvement between the suspect and mother.
Williams is facing two counts of felony murder charges and is been held at the Gwinnett County detention center without bond.
