DALTON, GA - A High School teacher is out of a job after a video of her making a racist comment and gesture surfaced Wednesday night.
According to the Dalton Daily Citizen, Jennifer Cooley, a first-year teacher at Murray County High School and a former deputy at the Murray County Sheriff's Office was caught on camera saying "n---- lips" and seen puckering her lips. Laughter can be heard although no one else is visible.
In the 10-second video, Cooley is sitting at a desk as someone begins recording her on the social media app Snapchat. Cooley says "n----- lips," then people in the classroom begin laughing. Someone says "Do it again." Cooley pauses then puckers her lips. The people continue laughing.
The video was then posted to Snapchat.
A screen grab video of the original video was taken and uploaded to social media.
