MILTON, GA  - Police arrested a Milton man on May 3 on charges of possessing child pornography.

Kendall Latrell Bowen was arrested at his home and faces 12 counts of possession of child pornography, police said.

Police say they started investigating Bowen after receiving a “CyberTip” from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The Milton Police Department executed a search warrant on Bowen's home and found child pornographic images on a laptop and USB device.

"The investigation is ongoing and we will update the community as new information is available," said Milton Police Chief Rich Austin. "It's through partnerships with organizations like the NCMEC that local law enforcement are better positioned to protect and serve some of our most vulnerable residents, our children."

Bowen was taken into custody without incident.
