Police charge Jamel Hughes and Jennifer Foutz after argument leads to shooting at gas station

ACWORTH, GA –  Authorities say an argument at an Acworth gas station left one person hospitalized after being shot Wednesday night.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. after two cars pulled into the Chevron gas station on Baker Road near the intersection with Highway 92. Witnesses say an argument ensued and that’s when a man got out of one of the vehicles and fired several shots into the other car.

Police identified the shooting victim as 25 year-old Galvin McCoy. He was transported to Kennestone Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police have four people in custody in connection to the shooting. Two of the suspects, 43 year-old Jamel Hughes and 25 year-old Jennifer Foutz, were charged and arrested in connection to the case.
