FULTON COUNTY, GA - A medical assistant with the Fulton County Jail was arrested after being accused of having sex with an inmate.

Aleah Risby has been charged with sexual assault by a law enforcement agency employee or agent who engages in sexual contact with an individual in custody. At the time of her arrest, she was employed with Correct Care Solution, which is the medical provider at the Fulton County Jail.

According to an incident report, Jail supervisors reportedly found letters between an inmate and Risby revealing "several inappropriate behaviors such as sexual contact, kissing and hugging". Police say the inmate, identified as Jerrell Hopkins was interviewed about the discovery. He admitted to having sex with Risby in what was described as "the far corner of the intake area."

Authorities say they also found a note Risby wrote and signed that "described her enjoyment of sex with him." Officials said they also listened to several phone calls.

When Risby was given the opportunity to explain the accusation, she chose not to make a statement, according to authorities.

Police say based on the confession of the inmate, and "her written, signed letter she wrote to inmate Hopkins, she was taken into custody without incident on July 19.

Meanwhile, jail records show that Hopkins was released on July 20. He was in jail on a variety of charges from the MARTA Police Department and Fulton County Sheriff's Office, according to jail records.
