The Richmond County Coroner’s Office says 18-year-old Demajhay Bell died after a stabbing Friday afternoon.
The coroner says Bell died at Augusta University Medical Center around 10:30 Sunday morning.
Bell was stabbed around 2:00 Friday afternoon on the 2600 Block of Chaps Lane. Deputies found Bell on the scene trying to drive himself to the hospital.
An autopsy is schedule at the Atlanta GBI crime lab for later this week.

Police arrested Quiauna Henley, 35, of Hephzibah; Quiasha Henley, 18, of Hephzibah; A’Lexis Cain, 18, of Hephzibah; Tyteanna Thomas, 18, of Augusta; Raheem Jobes, 19, of Augusta; Myah Dunbar, 18, of Hephzibah; Eyvette Lashawn Byrd, 39, of Hephzibah; Demetrius Lamont Harris Jr, 21, of Hephzibah; and Terry Lee Daniels, 19, of Augusta. They are each charged with aggravated assault and murder.
Warrants have been issued for Eddie Doneal Carter III, 18, of Augusta.
Demetrius Lamont Harris Jr, 21, is the suspect accused of stabbing Demajhay. He is said to be a friend of the victim and stabbed him while trying to lash out at an attacker who broke his arm with a baseball bat
Terry Lee Daniels, 19, was charged with murder after a fight between two high school girls escalated into a neighborhood street brawl with a mob wielding baseball bats and knives
Quiauna Henley, 35, was charged with murder and was involved in the mob of 'between 30 and 50 people'
Quiauna's daughter Quiasha Henley, 18, of Hephzibah, was charged with murder and was among the onlookers involved in the fight - which was captured on video and posted on Youtube
Myah Dunbar, 18, of Hephzibah, is another attacker charged following the death of Demajhay Bell, 18, after he was fatally stabbed in the neck
Eyvete Byrd, 39, of Hephzibah, was charged with murder. She is the mother of one of the feuding girls at Glen Hills High School in South Augusta, Georgia
Tyleanna Thomas, 18, of Augusta, was also charged with murder in the massive street brawl
Raheem Jobes, 19, of Augusta, is among those charged. It was not immediately known how many of the suspects had defense attorneys
