A two-year-old boy and a 26-year-old man riding in a car were murdered in Chicago Tuesday afternoon in a gang-related shooting that was streamed on Facebook Live.
The 2-year-old, identified as Lavontay White was sitting in a car driven by the child's aunt Breunna Devonte and her 26-year-old boyfriend when a gunman cut them off, got out of the car and opened fire on their vehicle, Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said.
Both the child and the man were shot in the head. The child was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The man, who was in the passenger seat in front of the child, died at the scene and the woman sustained gunshot wounds to her stomach but she and her unborn baby are in fair condition.
