Savannah State holds inauguration week for upcoming 13th president

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

It is inauguration week at Savannah State University.

On Sunday students came out to enjoy some live music from the band Nickel Bag of Funk with food and some university trivia challenges.

All of this leads up to the inauguration of Savannah State's 13th president Dr. Cheryl Dozier. Student organizers say it's a celebration and more.

"Get the students involved get the community involved and also networking opportunities with the community and just for active participation in academics as well as the social aspects," said student Jubal Rogers.

Dr. Dozer will be sworn in at 10am on Friday.
