Queen marks 60 years, 30 corgis in second longest reign

That wasn't "My Country 'Tis Of Thee" some of you overheard on the morning shows today.

"God Save the Queen" -- the version not written by Johnny Rotten -- was played from countless speakers as the Royal Family marked 60 years since Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne, following the death of her father King George VI.

Now, after six decades, 12 prime ministers, 30 corgis and 45,000 Christmas cards, she has become the second longest serving monarch in British history. "There are other monarchs but really there is only one queen," said one historian. Sit down, Madonna.

We weren't talking about you.

Send the queen your best for her next 60. #godsavethequeen
