Beau Solomon was found dead in Italy, just four days after he flew to the country to study abroad at the John Cabot University in Rome

According to a statement from John Cabot University in Rome, 19-year-old University of Wisconsin-Madison student Beau Solomon was last seen Thursday night at a pub with several of his classmates. John Cabot University has confirmed in a Monday statement that his body was found in the Tiber River.

"We express our most heartfelt condolences to the Solomon family and to all those who loved Beau," school officials said.

His roommate reported him missing to Italian authorities the next morning after he didn't show up to orientation.

"We're just really worried about his safety. If anybody can reach out to anyone that they know to try to get somebody to recognize Beau and help spread the word, it would be incredibly helpful," Beau Solomon's brother Jake told WMTV.

UW-Madison's dean of students said in a statement obtained by WISC, "We are deeply concerned about Beau and are working with John Cabot University in Rome and American and Italian authorities to assist in any way possible as they seek information on his whereabouts."

Solomon had just finished his first year as a personal finance major before heading to Italy last week. His parents were reportedly on their way to the country Sunday.

Police are investigating the case. No further details were immediately released
