UGA receiver Calvin Ridley arrested on marijuana charge

- Athens-Clarke County Police say a University of Georgia wide receiver was arrested for possession of marijuana Saturday night.

According to Athens Clarke County jail website, Calvin Riley Ridley, 21, a sophomore receiver from Coconut Creek, Florida, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. and he later posted $1,000 bond and was released on Sunday morning. Ridley faces a charge of possession of marijuan, less than an ounce, the website said.

He finished his freshman season with 12 catches for 238 yards and two touchdowns. He is a recipient of the AJ Green Family Football Scholarship.

He was a four-star prospect coming out of high school in Florida.

It is unclear when he will appear in court.
