The Atlanta Falcons listed their active and inactive players in advance of their big game against the Cleveland Browns. After suffering from an illness earlier in the week, Julio Jones is ready to go for the Falcons. Expect Jones to have a big game with Matt Ryan throwing the ball. He’ll be paired with Roddy White on the outside at the wide receiver position. Fortunately, Harry Douglas will also be active for the Falcons at wide receiver. Atlanta will need a full complement of healthy receivers to stay atop the NFC South.
Matt Ryan will look to have a big day in Atlanta’s return to the Georgia Dome. Atlanta hasn't played at home in six weeks. The Falcons will also turn to the running game early with Steven Jackson in the lineup. Jackson will an increased roll with the team on Sunday, so he needs to produce right away.
Defensively, the Falcons might have their hands full with the Cleveland Browns and their inspired offense. Brian Hoyer will have a new weapon this season. Despite not getting the start, Josh Gordon is prepared to play around 30 plays in his first game back. Otherwise, Andrew Hawkins and Miles Austin are listed as the starting wide receivers.
Corners, Josh Wilson and Desmond Trufant must be ready to compete on the outside. They are healthy and ready to go for the Falcons. They’ll also look to the pass rush up front to get pressure on Brian Hoyer. Jonathan Babineaux needs to have a big game from his defensive end position.
If it comes down to a field goal game, Matt Bryant has to be on point in special teams. Devin Hester will also play a factor as the main guy in the return game. Hester is able to be a difference maker on any special teams play.
