Whither the Cheezburger? A scary post-SOPA Internet

First they came for the Reddit, and I did not speak out because I am not a Redditor. Then they came for the Wikipedia and I did not speak out because I do not Wikipede. Then they came for the LOLCats...

The proposed SOPA legislation has been called "the equivalent of smashing the Gutenberg press," which isn't as hyperbolic as the headline sounds.

Mashable has prepped a gallery of what the post-SOPA Internet could look like, while Wired's self-censorship is a terrifying -- but effective -- illustration.

If you need more info, read Gizmodo's explanation of the bill. The fact that they represent SOPA using Montgomery Burns says almost as much as their 1,200 word writeup.
