PlayStation announces release date for VR Headset
PlayStation’s virtual reality headset to be released worldwide on October 13

During their E3 showcase, gaming company PlayStation said it would be releasing its PlayStation VR Headset to the world on October 13, 2016.

The ability to fully enter a virtual world from your home won’t come cheap however, as the headset alone costs $549.95 and an additional $89.95 to purchase a PlayStation Camera. But with PlayStation promising an impressive 50 titles to be released on the platform by the end of the year, it might be worth the investment.

The most anticipated of the VR titles showcased was Resident Evil 7.

A trailer of the game shows players exploring an abandoned house, attempting to escape before the sun sets. On its website Sony said that the “Photo realistic graphics of the cutting edge RE Engine mark a new beginning for survival horror. Enter a terrifyingly new world of horror and survive,”

In addition to Resident Evil, a VR version has also been announced for Batman Arkham, Final Fantasy, and Star Wars: Battlefront X-Wing VR Mission.
