VIDEO appears on YouTube showing an insanely easy way to bypass the iPhone's security code.

There's a new video doing the rounds that claims to show a terrifyingly easy way to unlock a security protected iPhone.

The YouTube clip called "iPhone Unlock WITHOUT Passcode Glitch" shows an Apple user gaining access to the device by simply asking Siri what the time is.

Once Siri has revealed the answer on a world clock, the YouTuber then simply clicks on the Timer button at the bottom of the screen and taps on the 'When Timer Ends' option.

At the top this screen he then presses the section that says 'Buy More Tones' .

Once this is selected the Apple Store opens and hitting the home button instantly unlocks the phone without ever tapping in your password.

The glitch video has now been viewed over 350,000 times with many Apple users thanking the video's creator for discovering the issue.

One YouTube user even comments: "Holy s**t this works Apple really need to improve their OS."

However, Georgia Newsday can reveal this glitch isn't real.

GLITCH? A YouTube users reckons he's found a terrifying issue with the iPhone

We've tested the issue a number of times and it only works if you initiate Siri by pressing the home button with one of your fingers that have been assigned to the fingerprint scanner.

If you try the trick using the "hey Siri" voice command or with a fingerprint that isn't registered, the option to buy more tones refuses to take you to the Apple Store.

Clearly, if you hit the home button and ask Siri something, your iPhone will automatically check your ID via the scanner and, if a match is found you'll get access to your Apple App Store account.

So, if you see this glitch on social media don't panic, unless someone gets hold of your finger, the contents of your iPhone should still be safely guarded by a passcode.
