Video of a man dressed as Zorro being arrested at Los Angeles International Airport emerged moments before the area was evacuated following reports of “shots fired” on last night.

The video tweeted by Sam Macon shows a man in a black cape and hat sitting outside the United Express entrance in Terminal 7 as a team of six police swoop in.

Police can be heard yelling: “Get on the ground.

“Move over, move over. We’ve got to get the sword.”

Someone in the background cries: “He didn’t do anything.”

The man is then forced to lie on the ground with his arms spread out.

After the police approach the costumed man and see the sword, one officer adds: “What, it's [the sword] plastic?”

Officers then appear to restrain the man – although no further details have been confirmed by police.
