Ticketmaster handing out free tickets as part of lawsuit settlement

Ticketmaster has handed out a whopping 50 million free or discounted tickets to customers as part of the terms of a settled lawsuit. American customers who bought tickets from the company between 1999 and 2013 have a chance of getting some.

Over the last month Ticketmaster has gradually sent out emails to people with vouchers, however, if a user has changed their email address, they may not be aware.

The discounted tickets follow a class-action lawsuit which was brought forward over misleading descriptions of the company’s service fees. The lawsuit was settled and is now offering the discount vouchers.

You won’t be able to able to pick and choose which events they will be used for however. They will only be available for events at venues operated by Live Nation, and are only valid for a limited list of eligible events which has yet to be produced. They will also be offering $42 million in discount codes each year for the next four years.
