John C Reilly confirms Wreck-It Ralph is back for a sequel in 2018

Disney have announced Wreck-It Ralph 2 is on the way for 2018.

In a live Facebook video posted on Thursday, the company has confirmed that the hit movie Wreck-It-Ralph will be coming back to theaters.

Rich Moore, the director of the first film, is back on board as is star and voice of Wreck-It Ralph, John C Reilly.

Just as Reilly was about to ‘reveal’ some juicy plot details, the stream ‘crashed’ leading fans to believe the video had stopped – but it turns out this was just the studio having some fun with it's fans.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 is scheduled for release on March 9, 2018.

Film, 'Wreck-It Ralph', (2013) Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, Jr. (voice of Jack McBrayer), sets off on a quest to prove he's got what it takes to be a hero. His arcade-game-hopping journey kicks off at Game Central Station, an industrial power strip that serves as the central hub connecting every game in the arcade. Wreck-It Ralph, which also starred Sarah Silverman and Jane Lynch, told the story of a video game villain who wants to change his ways and become a hero.

It was a hit not only for the fine voice-work of the lead actors, but it many references to video games old and new.

Okay so it’s not a brand new original project from Disney, but we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the characters next.
