Halloween scare: Wendy Williams passed out during her Halloween special on Tuesday

WENDY Williams sparked concern today after collapsing live on air.

The popular TV host was presenting a special Halloween episode of her infamous Wendy Williams Show when she fainted.

Dressed as the Statue of Liberty, Wendy got into the seasonal spirit along with the members of the audience.

As she read the autocue, the star suddenly looked wide-eyed and out of sorts.

She then stumbled back before collapsing in a heap on the floor as the studio audience gasped.

Medics could then be seen rushing in to help the star as the screen cut to black and went to the adverts.

However, it later transpired that Wendy is just about okay.

Scary incident: The host was returning from commercial break with 10 minutes left in the program, when seconds in she could be seen in visible distress

Returning to the show after a few minutes she said: "That was not a stunt.

"I overheated in my costume and I did pass out but you know what I'm a champ and I'm back."

Within minutes Twitter was flooded with comments about the event.

"It's those ginormous boobs. They're suffocating her," one Twitter user wrote.

"That was crazy. Seemed like something took over her body and she was horrified," a second wrote.

A third continued: "Wow that’s really scary. Glad she was okay."

"If she’s doing that for ratings, that network needs to pull the plug on her show," a fourth ranted.
