Jim Pynn will take visitors on a romantic and fun-filled tour of the Newtown Creek sewage plant this Valentine’s Day. (TODD MAISEL/NEW YORK DAILY NEWS)

Romance (and something else) is in the air at a Brooklyn wastewater plant.

Newtown Creek Wastewater Plant Superintendent Jim Pynn is making a Valentine's Day offer he says lovers shouldn't refuse: a morning tour of the facility, including a circuit through the egg-shaped "digesters" that "break down the noxious waste into harmless gas and sludge."

Turned on yet? There's even a perfect proposal setting: the top of the eggs provide a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline.

Pynn has one thing right: "It's a unique date, and one they'll never forget."

Trashy idea or quirky day you won’t ever forget?
