Was Brown's joke fair game or over the line?

Sen. Scott Brown is a stand-up kind of guy -- as in comedy.

At a St. Patrick's Day breakfast, the Massachusetts Republican took some highly amusing jabs at some of his own party's presidential candidates.

First he took aim at Rick Santorum's stance against contraception: "I see that both Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum now have Secret Service with them on the campaign trail," he told the crowd. "And in Santorum's case I think it's the first time he's actually ever used protection ... Just saying." And of Gingrich's proposal to build a colony on the moon, Brown quipped, "Forget the moon, I think he should build it on whatever planet Ron Paul's from."

He'll be here all week, folks.

Was Brown's joke fair game or over the line?
