Jona Rechnitz

The safety is the rarest scoring play in football, but Jona Rechnitz somehow knew we'd see one early in Super Bowl XVLI -- and now he's $50,000 richer.

Rechnitz bet an even $1,000 at 50-1 odds that a safety would be the game's first scoring play, and he won when Tom Brady was called for intentional grounding in his own end zone on the Patriots' first play from scrimmage.

The two points were costly to the MGM Grand casino, where Rechnitz had placed the bet, but more costly to the Patriots, who tried to dig themselves out of a four-point hole late to no avail.

What play would you have bet on to be the first score?
